A STUDY ON THE ETHICAL ISSUES INVOLVED IN ANIMAL TESTING IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY (KEY IJP************390)
Abstract
Since ages humans have been killing of innocent animals to meet the selfish desires of humans. Buying vegan leather is only one way to say "no" to animal cruelty. It encompasses practically all facets of your life, including skincare and beauty. Animals have been used by cosmetics manufacturers to test chemicals and products for a very long time. Millions of rats, rabbits, mice, cats, and dogs are confined in laboratories all over the world, and millions of them pass away there every year after being subjected to cruel treatment, drugging, and testing. Although India is one of the few nations that have banned animal experimentation for cosmetics, there are still many international brands that are widely used and accessible in the nation. The globe is moving towards more advanced testing techniques that are not only quicker but also more efficient. When buying a product, one should examine the packaging. Look for the leaping bunny logo, the cruelty-free logo, or the not tested on animals label to verify that a product is cruelty-free and that no furries were used in its testing. Even further, one might choose vegan products, meaning they don't utilise any animal-derived ingredients or subject any animals to testing.
