Abstract

Abstract Mental health disorders impact over 970 million people globally, with depression and anxiety ranking among the leading causes of disability (WHO, 2023). Research shows that more than 70% of individuals experiencing mental distress do not receive timely intervention, underscoring the need for AI-driven early detection systems to address this gap (Global Burden of Disease Study, 2022). This study focuses on the development and evaluation of AI-powered mental health detection systems using text analysis to enhance early intervention efforts. By analyzing digital communication data, including social media posts, clinical interviews, and crisis conversations, this research examines the potential of AI in identifying depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation effectively.
